He works exclusively with record producers in the UK and the USA to create his music.

The renowned 90s dance act’s critically acclaimed 2010 comeback pop single I Could Never Live (Without Your Love) reignited his pop recording career and gained him membership to ASCAP.

His follow-up 2012 disco single Color Me Beautiful was selected via Song Submit to be considered directly by #1 Hit Songwriter and A&R scout Mick Walsh, who has worked with Simon Cowell, Paul McCartney, Boy George, Florence and the Machine, and Dizzee Rascal; and introduced him as a promising international songwriter for the US.

His most recent accolade springs from vocal coaching and mentoring protégé Mayunga Nalimi, who went on to win the Pan African Airtel Trace Music Star 2015 competition for Tanzania, beating contestants from 12 other African countries in a televised Kenya grand finale that was filled with drama and intrigue, and where mega star Akon was among the judges.

Joett’s international music exposure has entailed working with international houses like Universal, Sony BMG, Capitol, Columbia and Jive Records. This he has brought to bear while coaching some of the best voices in Tanzania including Vanessa Mdee and Ben Pol.

Besides contributing to the development of African music talents, the next chapter in Joett’s professional career involves licensing his songs to record labels in Europe and North America for use by other artists; as well as licensing his tracks for inclusion in dance compilation albums around the world.
