Who will be Crowned ‘Southern King’ in the 6TH AFRIMA

This year has witnessed some of the best and highly revered artiste of the Southern continent emerge as nominees in the category for Best Male Artiste in Southern Africa in the 6th edition of the annual music awards show and most prestigious awards on the continent, All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA.

Populating the list is 6 South African artiste and 2 Zimbabweans.

AKA, one of South Africa’s rap artiste pulling heavyweight in the music scene will be competing with his song title ‘Jika’ where he featured South Africa’s fresh talent Yanga Chief.

Another of South Africa’s most successful artiste, Cassper Nyovest, makes the 2019 list with the song titled ‘Move for me featuring Cape Town’s soul singer; Boskasie’.

Black Coffee joins the South African forerunners with his song with renowned French DJ, David Guetta with the track titled ‘Drive’ where they featured the UK young singer; Delilah Montagu.

Grabbing a spot on the list is South Africa’s top-rated act; Nasty C, who has a total of 7 nominations in the 6th AFRIMA, is listed in this category with the song titled ‘SMA’ featuring Rowlene, one of South Africa’s new talent, also signed to Nasty C’s label.

Music Producer, Singer cum Dj, Prince Kaybee with a total of 5 nominations is also listed in this category with the song titled Banomoya featuring House music sensation; Busiswa and another rising star in South Africa, TNS.

Zimbabwean Contemporary Musician; Jah Prayzah is one of the 8 nominees in the category with his track titled ‘Dzamutsana’ off his Chitubu Album.

The second Zimbabwean on the list is foremost Raggae artiste; Winky D, with his song ‘MuGarden’ where he featured acoustic soul singer Gemma.

All these superstars will be going head-to-head in the category for Best Male Artiste in Southern African to be crowned King of the Southern Music sphere come November 23, 2019, at the main awards ceremony in the 6th edition.
